Overview

San Pedro ceremonies in Cusco are more than just spiritual retreats or mystical journeys, it is a journey into the inner self. During the course of our group trips, you will have the opportunity to participate in sacred plant ceremonies, such as ayahuasca and San Pedro, which will allow you to experience deep inner journeys into your true and authentic self.

San Pedro is a cactus which is native to the Andes and is known to have been used by pre-Inca civilizations for up to 4000 years. The active component found in this medicine is Mescaline and the nature or personality of this plant is perceived by many as the masculine grandfather spirit, it is also described as having the spirit of the hummingbird, the energetic home of San Pedro in the Andes.

The vibrations and energy that are in these lands will help us with the healing of the physical body and our traumas.

This medicine can be used to help us perceive our self-created barriers, limitations and greatly aids us in opening and connecting with our hearts, each ceremony is a meeting with ourselves and Mother Earth(Pachamama) and the Divine, is a medicinal mirror that can help us see where we hold onto self-limiting beliefs and patterns in our lives, gently guiding us toward releasing that which no longer serves us.

The ancestral medicine based on native herbs, considered the only medicine for the spirit that exists, is a legacy left by ancient cultures that are still maintained thanks to the passage of knowledge from parents to children (shaman) and that today are known worldwide as the ayahuasca and San Pedro. Similar to the ayahuasca, the San Pedro ceremonies in Cusco is performed with psychological preparation and physical cleansing.

Tour Plan

1

San Pedro Session

The journey begins at 9:00 am when we pick you up from your hotel. Then we will go to the sacred place where we will work with medicine and there the Master will explain you certain logistical elements for the day.

Then the medicine is served to you. After the opening ceremony, you are free to find your own space in the sacred place to work on your own process. Our main intention in the ceremony is to heal every physical and spiritual trauma that you have and make you aware of the importance of communion with unconditional love. The Master will be present throughout the ceremony to help and guide you in your process.

We close each session around 4:00 pm with a closing ritual based on gratitude to the Apus and Mother Earth followed by a nutritious meal.

Our Spiritual Retreats are more than just a tour of places in Peru. They are also a journey into yourself. During the course of our group journeys, you will have the opportunity to take part in sacred plant ceremonies that will enable you to experience profound inner journeys into your true and authentic self.

It is beneficial to have a defined intention for a San Pedro ceremony. This is what you are aiming towards in the ceremony as well as in the time around or after ceremony. The intention can play a crucial role in your experience. Being able to clearly state where we’d like ourselves to be moving towards, and asking for help in that movement, is in itself an energetic opening to enable us to receive what the ceremony has to offer us. Expectations can sometimes become an obstacle in an individual's process. Whether it's your first- or tenth-time drinking San Pedro, we recommend all participants let go of expectations during ceremony and allow the medicine to do its work.
In a San Pedro ceremony, the shaman becomes at the same time a psychologist, a priest and a doctor. San Pedro’s therapeutic uses are not restricted to the physical body, but their psychoactive capacity can positively affect brain neurotransmitters, acting in the sphere of the mind and emotions in a healing way. After the San Pedro ceremony we can feel some symptoms such as:
  • Physical purification
  • Expanded consciousness
  • Feeling of wisdom and inner peace
