Ausangate Trek 3D/2N
Trip Overview
We will have everything taken care of for you for two weeks, but you won’t feel rushed or over scheduled.
Highlights
Our Alternative Treks are a mix of culture, landscapes and hospitality. You’ll meet the locals, eat their food, bathe in the hot springs, and venture to a world unlike any you have experienced before. Bring the best camera you can, as these landscapes are something to be cherished forever, lesser known to tourists, this gem of Ausangate has long been a sacred journey for people of the area, especially during the Qoyllurity Pilgrimage.
Ausangate is the towering, 6372m peak which dominates the skyline to the southeast of Cusco. It is the protector spirit mountain of the city and ranks highest in the pantheon of Apus, the living Mountain Gods worshipped by the people of the Peruvian Andes. As you trek around its snowy slopes, you will climb high mountain passes and visit remote Andean villages. The turquoise lakes and hot springs of this land are a generous gift from Pachamama, the Mother Earth. You will have the opportunity to give thanks to her through a choice of one of our Healing Workshop.

You haven’t fully travelled unless you have travelled with Puma Adventures
This is my second trip to Peru and like the first I fell in love. I caught myself thinking, “can every place in the world have touring guides like the Pumadventures Team?”
They are wonderful, took us to see the most magical places, shared with us their love and knowledge of the land and cooked for us the most yummiest meals. I felt so well taken care of, like family. They are my family and I am grateful for the amazing experiences I had again. I will definitely be back again. Gracias
