Rebelino’s Story:

As a Logistic leader for many years now, I have watched people travel to the ends of the earth only to realize that the most profound part of their journey was the internal one a mysterious adventure of self-discovery that would change their perspective and life forever, and open their heart deeply.

I believe that experiential travel is awe inspiring, soul stirring, heart opening, and above of all, life changing. It’s my passion here at Pumadventures to design itineraries that allow us to touch the hearts of others, interact, learn, expand our consciousness, and grow from our connections with other cultures and people. For me, this is the only way we can truly understand and have love for others, and in the end, create a peace filled world.

MAMA IRENE

Mama Irene was born on October 20, 1947 in the town of Chinchero, known in Cusco for her many years of experience as a midwife and a medicine woman.
Throughout her years of experience healing people, she learned to: heal people from sorcerer’s curses, Aura cleanings, flowering baths, offerings to mother earth, tarot reading, candles readings, and Coca leaves reading. She began her spiritual path at age 4, when she made a special connection with the mountain spirit of the Apu Antakillka. She says she had the privilege of seeing the Andean dragon (Qoa; the union of the Puma, the condor and the snake) then suddenly fall asleep on the heights of the Antakillka mountain. The guardian spirit of the mountain revealed and gave her the power to heal through prayers and offerings to Mother Earth.

From the age of 6 she put her knowledge into practice and began to help the people of her community, as she grew older, she gained more experience, but even so she needed to expand her knowledge, it was then that she decided to look for elders to teach her. Instead, she suffered from sexist treatment as they promised to help her in exchange for her agreeing to sleep with them.

But the guardian spirits had a better plan for her, after that bad experience, she began to have strange dreams that she could not understand. After consecutive and repetitive dreams, she could see clearly that it was Apu Ausangate who invited her to go to his land and learn directly from him. Through dreams and visions, she learned and received her gifts directly from the guardian spirits of the mountains and star beings.

Mama Irene is a warrior woman, persistent and very wise. Thanks to her tenacity and perseverance she achieved her goal of becoming a well-known healer woman.
